Sales and Transfers of National Firearms Act Items

All sales of National Firearms Act (NFA) items are non-refundable and non-returnable!  NFA items include, among other things, suppressors, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, and "any other weapons" (AOW).

We are NOT responsible for denied applications/forms from the ATF! You are responsible for knowing your own legal history, and if you can pass a background check before beginning the paperwork. We can NOT just "check" to see if you will be approved in advance.

Customers who have not purchased NFA items from us before will be contacted PRIOR to your order being released to ensure that they understand the procedure involved.  Once the order is released from our supplier, it can't be stopped/cancelled, and the customer is committed to the sale procedure.

You will not be able to take the NFA product home until your Federal tax stamp has been approved. It will remain in our possession until you receive approval from the ATF.

Approvals for properly formatted electronic applications have generally been received within a week, but this may vary with the ATF.

Once your ATF Form-4 has been approved, you must keep it (or a copy) with the firearm as proof of legal ownership at all times per ATF regulations.

To speed up the process of buying an NFA item, follow these steps:

• Go to eforms.atf.gov to create your own ATF Eforms account if you don't already have one. You will be given an auto-generated username, and you will create a password and PIN. Keep this information safe because you will need it for the purchase process!

• You will need a digital fingerprint card in EFT file format (any other format, such as scanned fingerprint cards in PDF format, will slow your application process considerably). You also need a 2” x 2” passport-style photo (JPG/JPEG/GIF format only) of your face on a light background (no glasses/headgear, neutral expression and decent lighting). Bring in both digital documents on a USB flash drive.

• Have a valid state-issued photo identification showing your current address. 

• Be prepared to pay $200 ATF tax stamp fee ($5 for AOW) on a debit or credit card entered online. No cash/check!  Tax stamp fees are subject to change so check the ATF website for current rates.

• You must also have a valid email address to receive document copies. You will receive all documentation at this email address.

$85.00 per NFA (National Firearms Act) item transferred electronically.   NFA items purchased on our website do not require a transfer fee; however, a tax stamp charge from the ATF may still be applicable.

Paper transfers of NFA items (e.g., trusts) are $150.00 each and are processed by the ATF much more slowly than electronic applications.  We offer fingerprinting services in EFT file or fingerprint card format.  We also offer passport photos on a USB flash drive or hard copy.

All required forms/documents/photos will be electronically submitted on the ATF website or via mail for paper applications.
